an unexpected pleasure - one of the pair of pomegranate trees i'm trialing, which had looked a little tired for so long, has rustled up the umph to show off a few flowers
too late to think of becoming fruit, especially in this dim old summer, but its an event, a beam of encouragement, and i wasn't expecting anymore of them this summer

as i get older the length of my attention span seems inversely proportional to my eyebrow length, but in an effort to hold back the tide (along with the tweezers) i'm trying to read a little more, and a little more actively, to exercise that attention span muscle a little
and spalding gray's 'life, interrupted' makes that a little easier than most
one of those few who somehow really make you feel grateful for being alive - an old, early blog about perfect moments
